Keyholding and Police Response
Protecting your premises, your people and your peace of mind, 24/7
Choose Your Keyholding Arrangement
You can nominate people from your own team as keyholders, or we can arrange a professional keyholding and alarm response service through our partner, UKSS. We’ll record who should be contacted, in what order and how responders can access the premises, so your alarm receiving centre has clear instructions when an activation occurs.

How Monitored Alarm Response Works
When a connected intruder alarm activates, EMCS, our alarm receiving centre, receives the signal and follows the response instructions agreed for your site. Depending on your arrangement, this may include contacting your nominated keyholders or coordinating attendance through UKSS. We’ll help you set up and review those instructions as your contacts or premises change.

Police Response and URNs
If you want the option of police response, we can assess whether your alarm and monitoring arrangements meet the relevant requirements and help you apply for a police Unique Reference Number (URN). An eligible, properly maintained system with an approved monitoring arrangement can allow EMCS to request police attendance when the required alarm conditions are met

Taking Over an Existing Arrangement
Already have keyholders or a police URN in place? We can review your existing alarm, maintenance contract, monitoring connection and contact details. If you move your maintenance to us, we can help coordinate the handover and any URN administration needed, subject to the relevant police requirements.
